When we faced the
world and
it sneered,
spat in our collective face,
screamed displeasure as
we turned our deaf ear.
When we watched
history unfold
it repeated,
marched hatred across our
psyche as
we endlessly doomscrolled
bleak landscapes.
When we turned
our backs and
dismissed empathy,
deserts blossomed and forests withered,
but the markets flew
like an eagle with a broken wing
clutching a rabbit in its talons.
The TV is blurred
the radio screams silence
computers, phones, all
cry the pain of generations,
as our voices are hoarse
from shouting defiance
wanting hope...
but only the
whispers of depair
echo through the void.
it sneered,
spat in our collective face,
screamed displeasure as
we turned our deaf ear.
it repeated,
marched hatred across our
psyche as
we endlessly doomscrolled
bleak landscapes.
dismissed empathy,
deserts blossomed and forests withered,
but the markets flew
like an eagle with a broken wing
clutching a rabbit in its talons.
the radio screams silence
computers, phones, all
cry the pain of generations,
as our voices are hoarse
from shouting defiance
wanting hope...
echo through the void.
